Israel Weather

Despite the country's relatively small size, Israel has a surprisingly varied climate. Inland areas, including Jerusalem, but more particularly the mountaineous parts of the country, can be windy and cold during the Winter, and may experience snow - for example Mount Hermon's peak is usually covered with snow for most of the year. On the other hand, coastal areas, including the cities of Haifa and Tel Aviv-Jaffa have a more typically Mediterranean climate, with cool rainy Winters, and long hot and dry Summers.
